Jury Team MEPs would have no party allegiance |
The Jury Team umbrella group of non-party candidates collected 78,569 votes in the European Parliament elections. The party's 59 candidates achieved a 0.5% share of the UK vote, finishing 13th out of the parties putting up candidates across the UK. The Jury Team aimed to give independent candidates a platform from which to compete against the big parties. The group says all MPs and MEPs elected would have no party allegiance and be free of parliamentary whips.
