Australia charges toothfish crew
Australia has charged all 40 crew members of a boat seized in remote Australian waters with poaching the rare Patagonian toothfish.

Their ship, the Maya Five, was seized by Australian sailors near the Heard and McDonald Islands in January.

Authorities say the boat was carrying as much as 200 tonnes of Patagonian toothfish, with an estimated value of up to A$2m (US $1.6m).

The crew were released on bail and will return to court in a fortnight.
