Asia demand lifts Burberry sales |  The Burberry check is one of the fashion world's biggest brands | Burberry, the UK fashion company whose checked designs are worn across the globe, has seen a 19% rise in sales. The company said revenues increased to �135m ($248m) in the three months to the end of June, helped by a strong increase in Asian demand. Sales in Asia rose by 30% to �41m, the company said. Burberry also benefited from opening new shops. The earnings report is the first from the company since Angela Ahrendts took over as chief executive on 1 July.
