Dylan is described as "a voice of the oppressed"

Is It Rolling Bob? - a 16-track album featuring Gregory Isaacs and Toots Hibbert among others - is set to be released in August.

The album is the brainchild of Gary Himelfarb, founder of the RAS label.

Speaking to the Jamaica Observer, he called Dylan "a voice of the oppressed in the 1960s, just as Bob Marley was a voice of the oppressed in the 1970s."

Tracks

Tracks featured on the album include Maggie's Farm by Hibbert, Isaacs' version of Mr Tambourine Man and Subterranean Homesick Blues by Sizzla.

Beres Hammond has recorded Just Like A Woman and Don Carlos contributes a version of Blowin' In The Wind.

The backing group assembled for the album includes drummer Sly Dunbar, guitarist Earl Smith and keyboard player Robbie Lyn.

The album is scheduled to be released on Sanctuary and RAS Records.
