Almost 1m copies of former US President Bill Clinton's memoirs have sold in under a week, his publisher has said. The autobiography My Life hit the shelves in the US last Tuesday and had sold 935,000 copies by the end of Sunday, publisher Alfred A Knopf said.
It sold 400,000 copies on its first day, the biggest debut ever for a non-fiction book and double the record held by Hillary Clinton's Living History.
A spokesman for Knopf said the million mark should be reached very soon.

International sales figures are not yet available for the book, which had a record-breaking initial print run of 1.5m copies.
Despite a rather chilly reception by reviewers, it is already in its third print, with an expanded print run of about 2.6m copies.
The 937-page book follows Mr Clinton's life, from his earliest beginnings as a child growing up in Arkansas to the White House.
It gives frank details of his time in office, including his notorious affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
