Lauryn Hill
Lauryn Hill: Went onto solo success
US hip-hop act The Fugees have bought a German radio station which helped them become worldwide stars.

The group have purchased a 50.2% stake in Berlin-based Kiss FM from media investor Frank Otto for an undisclosed amount.
Wyclef Jean
Wyclef Jean: The Fugees' station will be a showcase for new acts
A Kiss spokesman said the broadcaster was one of the first in Europe to play The Fugees' 1993 debut album, Blunted On Reality.

The group now plan to use the station as a forum to support young artists.

The Fugees' second album, The Score, was a hit worldwide, spawning their biggest hit, a cover of Roberta Flack's song Killing Me Softly.

Singer Lauryn Hill has since recorded a solo album, while rappers Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel have also worked on their own projects.
