Pope Benedict XVI to make Irish abuse apology

Pope Benedict XVI is expected to apologise for decades of child abuse by priests in a letter to Irish Catholics.

It is the first public statement by the Vatican about the decades of child sexual abuse within the Irish Catholic Church.
