Politician is quiet over pay deal
Payment slip
The union has rejected the 2% increase pay offer
The politician responsible for Jersey public sector pay deals has refused to be drawn on whether a pay offer to manual workers will be improved.

The Transport and General Workers Union has rejected an offer of a 2% rise over the next two years.

Instead, its members are asking for a 3.5% increase to be brought in over the next 12 months.

Deputy Maurice Dubras, who is co-ordinating the pay negotiations, says talks are ongoing.
