Fingerprint victim sentenced

Alan McNamara was sentenced for a burglary he says he did not commit. Panorama had previously revealed there were flaws in the evidence against him.

Alan McNamara was given a 30 month sentence at Manchester Crown Court on 17 July 2001.

Panorama reporter Shelley Jofre has stayed in contact with Alan since the programme was aired. She says that Alan has expressed his gratitude for all the comments sent to Panorama expressing support for his plight.

Alan's MP David Crausby has offered to forward letters about Alan's case to the Home Office. Letters can be sent to Mr Crausby at:
David Crausby M.P.
House Of Commons,
