Kuljit plays Ranbir some tracks he’s produced and Ranbir compares one to ‘Off the Wall’. Kuljit’s surprised that Ranbir knows the song but he explains that being in so many foster homes he’s seen a lot of record collections. Kuljit’s phone rings and he goes outside to talk to Sway. When he comes back in the mixing desk is swathed in tissues. Ranbir looks sheepish and confesses he spilt his coke but he’s tried to clean it up. Kuljit loses it for a minute worried about his expensive equipment. He pulls himself together quickly but it’s too late and Ranbir rushes out in a panic.
Meanwhile Jodie calls on Rita and gives her back the bracelet. Rita’s delighted to see it as she’s been searching for it everywhere, it was an anniversary present from Pradeep. Jodie delicately explains that it was a present from a secret admirer…Krishan. Suddenly Rita feels old, her last baby has really grown up. When Jodie’s gone Rita goes up to have a chat with Krish. He squirms when she shows him the bracelet. Krishan tells his mum he gave Jodie the presents because he felt sorry for her. Rita gently asks if he ‘likes’ Jodie and starts to tell him about her first crush. Krishan’s horrified and stops her. He tells his mum he’s sorry, she can ground him or do what she likes but please can they not have this conversation!
Jodie returns to find Kuljit drying out the desk with her hairdryer. He reckons it’ll probably be alright but he’s not so sure about Ranbir, he messed up big time the way he reacted. He tells Jodie how he flew off the handle and scared him. Maybe Ranbir’s better off without him.
