Jodie hopes the spa break will help Simran relax. She can tell something is bothering her. Kuljit wonders if Fran will be going with them but Jodie says Fran’s staying to keep an eye on him. Kuljit’s not overjoyed at the prospect but he’s more concerned at the moment about the band that hasn’t turned up at the studio. Jodie asks if he’s worried about the studio, he and Mani sat up talking for hours the other night. Kuljit pretends Mani wanted to look at the books, which amuses Jodie. Her dad’s never been interested in that stuff before.
Mani tries to cheer Vinnie up. He’s been down ever since Mohit’s visit. Vinnie feels whatever he does it’s never good enough for his dad. Mani reassures him that Mohit is proud of him even though he doesn’t show it.
