In the Heatherton Wood and Silverhill Mushtaq and Zenab and Shazia and Hassan are watching a Bollywood film on TV.
Zenab reminds Mushtaq how the star of the film was his style icon. They laugh as they remember watching the film on one of Sakina Bibi’s pirate videos, filmed by her nephew in a Lahori cinema. Zenab reckons Mushtaq always had a thing for the leading actress. Mushtaq protests that he only ever had eyes for Zenab.
Shazia explains the plot of the film for Hassan. It’s a love triangle and in real there were rumours about a love triangle between the cast as well, life imitating art! Hassan can’t help thinking about the situation between Shazia and Mushtaq but she silences his fears, kissing them away.
As Zenab watches the movie she reflects on how close to home the plot feels. As the film plays Mushtaq counts his blessings that all his family are together at last, including their two grandchildren.
Shazia and Hassan miss the rest of the film, their mind on other things so Shazia updates Hassan with the ending, complaining that it’s classic Bollywood double standards. Hassan doesn’t care though, all he cares about is the woman in his arms right now.
