 | | | The Crescent Theatre Company is a medium sized theatre company based in Brindleyplace.
The resident company of 200 members produce 15 shows a year, including a summer tour (to venues such as the Botanical Gardens and Harvington Hall) and a Christmas Wassail concert, which plays at Highbury Hall and Coughton Court.
 | | The Crescent Theatre Company | Not all company members are actors - some choose to specialise in sound, lighting design or costume, however all members contribute to front of house duties.
In this, our third home, we have two auditoria: a Main House and a Studio Theatre and produce a wide variety of shows including farce, musicals, classic drama, comedy, children’s theatre and new plays.
The Crescent Theatre also plays host to professional companies, touring shows and musical societies.
Famous actors who started at The Crescent include: Martin Shaw, Paul Eddington, Anton Lesser, Rosalind Ayres and Ruby Turner.
The Crescent Theatre Company has premiered many shows over the years, including Wallop Mrs Cox and Beguiled Again.
We currently have 10,000 theatre-goers on our mailing list.
While the Crescent Theatre is home to The Crescent Theatre Company, it also plays host to a myriad of touring shows, concerts, amateur operatic societies and professional companies; including;
BSSD, Birmingham Conservatoire, Arc Dance Company, Welsh National Opera, The Magnets and Music Theatre Wales.
The Theatre is also hired by companies wishing to stage conferences, meetings, use rehearsal space and even film TV adverts!
