Depending on your role as an apprentice, you might help plan activities, support lessons, track children's progress, or work with small groups.

How do I apply for an early years apprenticeship?
You’ll apply for the apprenticeship online and then have an interview or chat with the employer, and sometimes your college or training provider. Entry requirements can vary, so it’s good to check online or with a careers adviser.
How long does an early years apprenticeship last?
Most education and early years apprenticeships last between one and three years, with different type, levels to choose and even the name of it changing depending on where you live.

What will I do on an early years apprenticeship?
You'll get practical experience working with young children. This might mean that you help plan activities in a pre-school or nursery setting, working with small groups of children and support lessons whilst tracking the progress of children.
You’ll gain real-world experience and recognised qualifications, with paths into roles like a teacher, researcher, content creator, or even a special needs coordinator!
How much will I earn on an apprenticeship?
In early years and education you'll earn at least the minimum wage for apprentices, however lots of employers offer additional benefits.
