Goals scored by Lucy Bronze 79' and Michelle Agyemang (81'), which equalised the teams and sent them into extra time, followed by penalties.

July 22nd: Semi-final - England vs Italy

Goals scored by Michelle Agyemang 90+6' and Chloe Kelly 119'.
July 27th: The Final - England vs Spain
England 1 - 1 Spain
Goal scored by Alessia Russo 57'. The game went to a tough extra time and finally, to a penalty shootout.
PENS: England 3 - 1 Spain
Hannah Hampton won Player of the Match for her goalkeeping, denying Spain two penalties!
Michelle Agyemang was declared the Young Player of the Tournament for her role as England striker.
When does the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 start?
The Women's EURO 2025 tournament schedule will run from the 2nd to 27th of July, with 16 football teams from across Europe hoping to take home the trophy.
The teams are split into four groups of four, Group A to Group D. The top two teams from each group will progress to the quarter-finals over 16th-19th July.
The semi-finals are not long after, they will be played over 22nd and 23rd July, with the final taking place on 27th July.
The Women's EURO 2025 begins with Finland and Iceland's teams kicking off the competition on July 2nd at 5pm.
What are the groups in Women's EURO 2025?
Group A: Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Finland.
Group B: Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Italy.
Group C: Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden.
Group D: France, England, Wales, Netherlands.
Which UK teams are in the Women's EURO 2025?
England and Wales are taking part in the Women's EURO competition. Both teams are in Group D, so expect a few long days of football if you want to support both UK teams as they both play the same days!
Wales' first match will be against Netherlands on July 5th at 5pm, with England's first match against France just a few hours later at 8pm.

Where is the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 being held?
This year's tournament is being held in host country Switzerland with games being held in eight different venues across the country.

Fun facts about the Women's EURO 2025 tournament
Did you know?
This tournament will be the first time that a Women's EURO match ball will feature Connected Ball Technology. This feature enables faster decision making by providing real-time and precise data to the video assistant refereeing (VAR) team.
This is also the first time that Switzerland has hosted and organised a major women's sporting event, marking a huge moment!
A Saint Bernard puppy called Maddli is the official mascot of the tournament. The name Maddli is meaningful and chosen for a reason, as this mascot is inspired by Madeleine Boll, the first ever female licensed footballer in Switzerland. A very lovely tribute!
England are currently ranked fourth in the world making them the highest-ranked side in Group D - with the Netherlands 10th, France 11th and Wales 30th.

Where to watch the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 tournament
How to follow Euro 2025 on the BBC, from BBC Sport.
Every match of the tournament, which begins on 2 July, will be shown in the UK on either the BBC or ITV, with the final on 27 July available on both channels.
Alongside live TV coverage and highlights across the BBC and iPlayer, radio commentary will also be available on BBC Radio 5 Live and 5 Sports Extra.
Who won the Women's EURO last?
England won the most recent Women's EURO tournament in 2022.
The England team, managed by Sarina Wiegman, took home the trophy in a match against Germany. They went 2-1, with the two goals scored by Ella Toone and Chloe Kelly.
Goalkeeper Mary Earps was also named best goalkeeper of the tournament and awarded the Golden Glove after her incredible performance, she only conceded four goals in the entire tournament! Mary Earps will not be returning to the Women's Euro 2025 as she announced her retirement from international football in May.
