We have learned that Alex's second album will be released, but hold on to your ten pound notes, it won't be until June. Fans may be worried about the length in time since Alex has appeared in the charts. Her last release was the single 'Cry' in February 2004! But her record label Polydor issued a statement recently saying: "The album is due out in June. It has been put back because Alex is still working on it. It will be worth waiting for." According to reports on Alex's official website it looks like that statement could be well and truly correct. In a bulletin released on 23 March alexparksofficial.com reported that Alex has started to work with some exciting new people. These include 70s star Judie Tzuke, and members of 90s Britpop band James (who could forget anthems like 'Sit Down'?) | | Alex's last chart entry was with 'Cry' back in early 2004 |
Alex says on her website that working with these talented artists 'has thrown a whole new light on things on to everything'. She goes on to say that she is planning to work on the album until it's how she wants it to be. "It's going really well," says Alex. "I'm really positive about the whole thing as I think we're nearly finished now. It's kind of frustrating as we're so close." So roll on June, and let's hope that the album really is worth the wait! |
