Jo reaches the Grand Western Canal

Jo arrives in Holcombe Rogus, where she's cheered on by children at the village school. Also waiting for her was BBC Radio Devon's Vic Morgan!

On the second week of her walk around Devon's borders, BBC Radio Devon reporter Jo Bishop has progressed from the North Devon coast to Burlescombe in east Devon. We caught up with her at the Grand Western Canal between Holcombe Rogus and Burlescombe.

FACTS

The BBC Radio Devon Chestnut appeal aims to raise £1 million to help fund the building of a new specialist unit to treat patients with prostate cancer.

The Unit, to be built on the new Derriford Hospital site in Plymouth will offer faster diagnosis, new treatments, and counselling services for the families affected by this disease.
