Toby Kebbell as Malcolm with James McAvoy as Joe Macbeth

Malcolm (Toby Kebbell)

The son of Duncan Docherty, Malcolm hasn't really inherited his dad's genius for cooking with meat. For a while, he was even a vegetarian, and he's definitely not skilled enough to make it in Joe Macbeth's kitchen. But Joe can't bear to tell Duncan this - even when the old man decides to leave the restaurant to Malcom.

Toby Kebbell

After dropping out of school at fifteen, Nottingham-reared actor Toby did a range of odd-jobs before studying acting with the Central Television Workshop. Since then he's had parts in several major films, including playing Anthony in Shane Meadow's film Dead Man's Shoes, for which he was nominated as Most Promising Newcomer 2004 in the British Independent Film Awards.

His short but very sweet CV also includes roles in the Oliver Stone film Alexsander (The Gate), and Woody Allen's W. On stage, he's played Raleigh in the play Journey's End.

Toby was born in 1982 and lives in London, but would rather live in his home town of Nottingham.
