Garrett Bright, from Gloucester, left a career in sales to join the nursing profession. He is now determined to raise the awareness of nursing and nurses in the county. Passion He said, "I feel passionate in driving the image of nurses forward. Currently I am on placement with the District Nurses in Gloucester, and I have been really surprised at what they achieve. In order to help raise awareness and to add weight to the current Nursing Standard campaign, Garrett has organised for Gloucester MP, Parmjit Dhanda to shadow the work of the district nursing team, and learn more about the day to day experiences of health care workers. Well done for this. Hopefully people will begin to realise what a valuable profession nursing is, and to the guy in Subtone in Chelltenham on Saturday night, who thought it was sexy that I was a nurse - we're not all 'No Angels'. Having just completed an IP module with Garrett I wish him all the very best in his career he is indeed an ambassador for the profession - having an interest in other professions other than his own. He is a very hard worker and will make a very good nurse. he has the enthusiasm and drive to get others behind him with his work as ambassodor. Abbie

I'm so pleased that somebody has taken this initiative, there is so much bad press on health professionals in general, that i feel it to be very possitive that people can see the hard work, caring and effort that everone puts in to care, without the soldiers there would be no crusade, the silent workers that plod on un noticed need appreciated and supported.
