The Spring Gardening Show takes place at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire, between Friday 7th and Sunday 9th May 2004 Opening Times: 9am - 6pm On The Day Ticket Prices at £13 and £12 Children aged 5 - 15 (inclusive) FREE Under 5s FREE One companion for a wheelchair user or blind visitor admitted FREE Guide Dogs Only Ample FREE parking The Spring Gardening Show is a fundraising event on behalf of the Three Counties Agricultural Society What began as a regional flower show almost twenty years ago is now widely acknowledged as one of the top events on the horticultural calendar The Royal Horticultural Society came on board in 1990 and it has been a joint venture since then New features for 2004 include a special charity garden, which is being built by HND/BSc students at Pershore College of Horticulture, in aid of the Acorns Children's Hospice Trust, together with a series of children's pottery workshops run by ceramic artist Jon Williams The Society is also introducing a new Art and Design competition for schools, inviting Key Stages One and Two pupils to submit garden designs, based on a well-known film or book theme The competition is sponsored to the tune of £600 and amongst the prizes are two Artist Wooden Boxes The BBC Gardeners' World team are back for the fourth year running and Monty Don and the crew will be filming at the Showground on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th May Other attractions include permanent gardens, food and wines, crafts and live music |
