Trade fairs

Trade fairs are serious business in Germany, and your presence at the relevant fair is essential if you want to get into the German market.

The main centres are Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hanover and Munich, with Leipzig now becoming the meeting point between the former East and West Germany.

In these cities, routes to the trade fair centre - die Messe - are prominently signposted.

Exhibitors view these fairs not only as a means of entry into the German market, but also as an international shop window.
