Meet our international Video Journalists

We have a team of video journalists who will be with the Queen's Jubilee Baton every day and filming reports from the countries on the route.

Andy Martin will be touring Canada, the West Indies and the Caribbean. Then Yasmin Khan takes over to cover the Africa stages from Accra to Johannesburg. Following the Baton across Australia, New Zealand and Oceania from Perth to Tonga will be Nikki Mitchell. And the route back to the UK from Brunei to Malta will come under the video lens of Tony Roe.

Read more about our intrepid VeeJays below:

Since then she has worked as a broadcast journalist for BBC Radio Solent, BBC Thames Valley and BBC South Today. she is currently a multi-skilled broadcast journalist for BBC South television in Oxford, filming and editing most of my own news items.

Yasmin KhanYasmin Khan
Yasmin currently works as a video journalist at BBC London using a Sony PD150 and edit on Final Cut Pro. Stories she works on cover everything from inner city gun culture to muslim women in London being targetted for abuse in the aftermath of September 11th. Yasmin loves the self suffiency of being a VJ; being responsible for all aspects of a story, being able to bring a different treatment into the newsroom and having the freedom to cover stories which otherwise would not make with a traditional crew.
