Welcome to the music pages of BBC 2002 Commonwealth Games Radio.
The music we will feature will include every possible genre of music for the last 20 years and more and the plan is that music will make up approximately 40% of our total output. In order to get the sound that we want for the station, the music has been divided into 6 categories. They are:- The A List The biggest and freshest music that we will be playing. This will include every type of music, and will become the staple sounds of the station. You will never be more than 2 songs away from a track from the BBC 2002, A List. Look out for Backstreet Boys, Q Tip, Blu Cantrell, R Kelly and Beverly Knight. Classic Soul and Dance This will be the largest category of music on the station and includes classic soul and dance music tracks from the past 30 years. We are talking about all the great soul artists, guys like Luther Vandross, Anita Baker, Shalamar, Bobby Caldwell and lots, lots more.
