The winning poem will be engraved into the fabric of the planned Piccadilly Place development of shops, offices and restaurants, linked to Piccadilly station by a new futuristic footbridge. The Poet Laureate, Andrew Motion, will select a short-list of poems to be announced on Monday August 23rd when we will publish details on how you can vote for the winning poem. The winning poem will be announced here and on BBC GMR on National Poetry Day, 7th October 2004.
