A man has admitted killing a 36-year-old woman but will stand trial after denying her murder.

Paris Kendall was found dead on a street in Halifax in August and Lee Taylor, 40, pleaded guilty to manslaughter at Bradford Crown Court earlier.

Taylor, of Wellington Place, Halifax, pleaded not guilty to murder and will return to court on 23 March for trial.

He was remanded into custody after the brief hearing.

Kendall was found unconscious with serious head injuries on Keighley Road in Illingworth and pronounced dead at the scene.

Her family said she was a "much-loved" mother and daughter and they had been left "absolutely devastated by her loss".
