A man has been charged in connection with the rape of a male teenager in an alleyway in Paisley.

Police cordoned off the area around Meetinghouse Lane following the incident at about 20:15 on Tuesday.

A 29-year-old man is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday.

Det Insp David Hardie thanked the public for their "support and assistance" during their inquiries.
