Dorking to hold first ever Festival of Light
BBCDorking is to hold its very first Festival of Light on Friday.
The town's inaugural wintertime celebration will consist of an evening of "creativity, kindness and togetherness", according to the Hello Dorking website, which is run by Dorking BID (Business Improvement District).
There will be a procession through the town centre involving handmade lanterns, alongside entertainment in the form of Morris dancing, choir singing, samba drumming and stilt walking.
A pizza truck will also be stationed nearby, with hot drinks available.
The evening begins outside Dorking Halls from 17:30 GMT, before heading along the High Street and culminating at St Martin's Church.
