Cyclist dies after being hit by two vehicles on A1

A cyclist has been killed following a crash on the A1 in Lincolnshire, police said.

Officers believe the man in his 40s was hit by two vehicles near Foston and died at the scene.

They were called to the incident at 00:50 GMT on Friday and the road was closed in both directions for more than 12 hours.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage.

The family of a couple killed in a crash on the A1 say they were "deeply devoted" to their 10 grandchildren.

Police attended the scene and one lane was closed, says National Highways.

Police say a man has been arrested in connection with the crash near Denwick after two people died.

Long diversions were in place for about 14 hours on Wednesday but the road is now open.

Police say one man from the car was struck by a lorry while the other was arrested nearby.
