The Sunday Telegraph says Sir Tony Blair has "rebuked" Sir Keir Starmer for his decision not to support American strikes on Iran. The paper quotes the former Prime Minister, who supported George W Bush's invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, as saying that the relationship with America matters, and it "matters particularly today". A spokeswoman for Sir Tony said his comments had been made at a private event and were not intended to be publicised.

The Mail on Sunday calls the criticism a stinging blow to a "flailing" Prime Minister. A Ministry of Defence spokesman is quoted as saying that the UK has been bolstering its military presence in the Middle East since January.

A number of the papers lead with the death of the child murderer, Ian Huntley. The Mirror quotes a former prison guard from HMP Frankland in County Durham, who said "no one will shed any tears". The Sun has spoken to Ian Huntley's daughter, Samantha Bryan, who says she doesn't believe he deserves a funeral.

The Observer reports that Princess Eugenie has stepped down as patron of the UK charity, Anti-Slavery International, a role she has held for seven years. The paper says the decision follows the release of the documents and emails relating to Jeffrey Epstein which have disgraced her father, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. He denies any wrongdoing. The claims against Epstein include sexual abuse and trafficking women and girls. The Observer says there is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by Eugenie, Princess Beatrice or their mother Sarah Ferguson in connection with Epstein.

And the Telegraph reports that the baker who has been crowned the best producer of baguettes in Paris this year is not French, but Sri Lankan. Sithamparappillai Jegatheepan only set up his business in 2018 and he told the paper it was a "big surprise" to have won, after he entered for the first time. The presitigious award comes with a €4,000 prize, and the right to supply the Élysée Palace, which is the official residence of the President of France in Paris, with around 25 baguettes every morning.
