Stabbed teenager in hospital as police hunt attacker
GoogleA cordon is in place at a busy junction after a man was stabbed.
The 19-year-old was taken to hospital following the incident near St John's Church in Greenhill, Weymouth, at about 21:15 BST on Thursday.
Dorset Police said no arrests had been made and the man's injuries were not serious or life-threatening.
A road closure remained in place on Friday morning at the junction of Dorchester Road and the Esplanade while investigators examined the scene.
Police said the incident happened near the junction of Dorchester Road and Melcombe Avenue.
The force said there would be an increased police presence and members of the public could approach officers with any concerns or information.
Bus operator Damory said its outbound C5 and CR8 services were being diverted via King Street and Weymouth Relief Road but its inbound services were able to use Greenhill as normal.
