Two motorcyclists seriously injured in crash

Two motorcyclists have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the A47 in Rutland.

It happened close to the junction for North Luffenham and the Wireless Hill Industrial Estate at 11:10 GMT on Saturday, and involved a Harley Davidson motorcycle, a Honda motorcycle and a white Ford Kuga.

Leicestershire Police said the two motorbike riders were believed to have suffered life-changing injuries in the crash.

Two occupants of the car were also taken to hospital. Police have not released details of their injuries.

The A47 was closed after the crash but has since reopened.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage has been urged to contact police.
