Four arrests after man dies in town centre

Four men have been arrested following the death of a man in his late 40s in Whitby, according to police.

Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at a property in Flowergate at about 23:10 GMT on Sunday where they found the man unresponsive.

Despite receiving CPR, the man, from the Halifax area, died at the scene.

North Yorkshire Police said a manslaughter investigation had been launched, with officers appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
