Motorists asked to avoid major cross-country route

Motorists are being asked to avoid a major cross-country route after a crash.

Northamptonshire Police said the A605 was closed at the Barnwell junction, south of Oundle, following a collision at about 14:30 BST.

Both sides of the road were closed, and police advised motorists to avoid the area.

The road carries traffic between the A14 and Peterborough, and officers asked for patience while they dealt with the incident.
