Callum Denley has been handed a 14-month suspended prison sentence

A former police officer has been given a suspended prison sentence after admitting making and possessing indecent images of children.

Callum Denley, 21, of Old Alexander Road, Malmesbury, appeared at Swindon Crown Court after pleading guilty to three counts of making indecent photograph/pseudo-photographs of a child and possessing a prohibited image of a child.

Denley, who resigned as a Wiltshire Police officer in March 2025, also admitted possessing an extreme pornographic image and breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

He was handed to 14-month sentence - suspended for two years - and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £187.

Denley had previously been sentenced after he admitted making indecent images of children in May 2025.

In July 2025, he was found to have breached his SHPO after he deliberately concealed his mobile phone from officers when they visited his home.

The seized phone was searched and revealed 34 illegal still and moving images.

Accelerated gross misconduct proceedings subsequently found he would have been dismissed without notice had he not already resigned.
