One person taken to hospital after fire at animal bedding firm
Jack McCauslandA person has been taken to hospital following a fire at an industrial estate in Country Tyrone.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 07:19 BST reporting the fire at the Doogary industrial estate on the Bankmore Road in Omagh.
The fire was at Boyd Bedding, an animal bedding company, and more than 100 firefighters worked throughout the day to bring the blaze under control.
The incident ended 13 hours later, and the fire service said the cause of the fire was believed to be accidental ignition due a dust explosion from a hopper, which is a funnel-shaped container.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said following initial treatment at the scene, one person was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Appliances from across Northern Ireland were sent to the scene, including two aerial appliances, two water tankers and a high-volume pump.
Jack McCauslandDemocratic Unionist Party assembly member for West Tyrone, Tom Buchanan, described the incident as "deeply concerning for all those involved and for the wider local community".
He said he wanted to pay tribute to the "swift and professional response" of the fire service and emergency personnel who "worked to bring the situation under control".
"My immediate thoughts are with everyone affected by this incident," Buchanan said.
Sinn Féin MP Órfhlaith Begley said commended the emergency services for "responding swiftly to this incident".
"My thoughts are with the individual injured due to a fire that has taken place in Boyd Bedding," Begley said.
"I am thinking of all those impacted by this incident and hoping they make a full and speedy recovery."
