Two more arrests over baby girl's dog bite death
BBCTwo more people have been arrested after a three-month-old girl died in a suspected dog attack, police have said.
Armed officers were sent to an address on Hardale Grove, in Dormanstown, Redcar, shortly after 13:30 BST on Thursday over reports of concern for a child.
Cleveland Police said officers destroyed a dog on the street and another at the property. A 45-year-old man was arrested on Thursday and later released on conditional bail.
A 31-year-old woman and 36-year-old man have now also been arrested, the police said, and have been bailed.
Police said they believed the girl died as a result of a dog bite.
Both dogs were assessed by a specialist officer and were not believed to have been a banned breed.
Cleveland Police said the 31-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of child neglect and being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control resulting in death.
It said the 36-year-old man had also been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control resulting in death.
The 45-year-old man had earlier been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control and causing injury resulting in death.
