Island's top baby names of the year revealed
Andrew Matthews/PALilly and Theodore were the most popular first names for babies born in Guernsey during 2025.
Data collected from the register held by the Greffe showed there were 419 births in 2025, of whom seven baby girls were called Lilly, and five baby boys were called Theodore.
It marks a change on the year before, when Charlotte, Isla and Charlie were the most popular first names for babies born in the island.
Slightly more boys were born in 2025, than girls.
Imogen and Bonnie were the next most popular chosen names for girls, with four babies given each name.
Harry and Leo appeared four times in the birth records for boys.
Other popular girls' names included Olivia, Amelia, Hallie and Ayla, which were each chosen three times.
Among boys, Tommy, William, Oliver, Jack, Freddie and Noah were also registered three times each.
