Woman dies in County Tyrone crash

A woman has died following a road traffic collision in Cookstown, County Tyrone.

It happened at about 07:30 GMT on Wednesday on the Moneymore road.

Police said Ann Marshall, who was from Moneymore, died at the scene.

They said enquiries are ongoing and the road has since re-opened.

Ulster Unionist Party Councillor, Trevor Wilson, said: "It is very, very sad, another tragedy on the roads.

"My thoughts and prayers are with the deceased and the community is in shock."

He also urged people not to share information about the crash on social media.
