Police are appealing to the public to help find a missing teen who has not been home for more than a week

Police are appealing for the country's help after a 15-year-old girl has been missing for more than a week.

Thames Valley Police said Aaliyah, was last seen in-person in Windsor, in Berkshire where she lives, at around 01.50 GMT on Thursday 16 April.

The teenager is around 5ft 3ins tall, of average build, with long black hair, and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black jacket.

Detective Chief Inspector Tracey Smyth said "we are appealing for the nation's help" the force is urging people to "keep an eye out for her and reporting any information on her whereabouts."

Aaliyah was caught on CCTV in Smallbrook Queensway, Birmingham, shortly before 10:00 GMT that day, having got the train into Birmingham New Street station.

Smyth said: "We are extremely concerned for Aaliyah's welfare, not least because she has been missing for more than a week but also her age.

"She could have traveled anywhere after being seen on CCTV near Birmingham New Street train station."

"We are doing everything we can to find Aaliyah since she was reported missing, with support from policing and other partners, but we need the public's support,"she added.
