People return home after explosives scare
BBCPeople have been able to return to their homes after police said a suspect device was found not to be explosive.
The item was discovered when officers were called to a property on Saxon Court in Leegomery, Telford on Tuesday, West Mercia Police said.
A 100m cordon was put in place and surrounding homes were evacuated as a precaution while an explosives disposal team made a full assessment.
The cordon was later lifted at about midnight once the device was declared safe and people were allowed to go back home.
The police said the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team arrived at about 21:30 GMT.
It said a scene guard remained in place at the property and inquiries would be carried out over the coming days.
