Attempted murder charge after man hit by car

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a pedestrian was hit by a car.

Cheshire Police said the 43-year-old was hit by a blue Kia Sportage on Church Road in Dodleston, near Chester, just after 02:00 GMT on 7 February.

The force said the pedestrian, from Wrexham, suffered serious injuries and is in a stable condition in hospital.

Paul Rudd, 58, of Warren Hall Court, Broughton, was due to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on Monday.
