Man suffers significant injuries in park stabbing

A man has been left with significant injuries after being stabbed in a park, police have said.

Sussex Police said officers were called to Victoria Park in Worthing at about 02:45 GMT on Saturday.

The victim, aged in his 40s, was attacked by two men after a brief interaction, said the force. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

His attackers were described by police as white, aged 20 to 30, and wearing grey tracksuits, with their hoods up and faces covered.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.
