Murder arrests after woman's body found close to A1

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was discovered near the A1 in Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire Police said a murder investigation was launched after officers found the body in Main Street, Milton, at 03:12 GMT on Friday.

Police said a cordon was in place near the A1 and apologised for any inconvenience caused by traffic on the road.

The force said three men, 37, 42, and 64, and one woman, 60, had been arrested on suspicion of murder and been taken into police custody.

Det Ch Insp Ruby Burrow said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation and are working to establish the circumstances of this incident.

"This will impact on traffic on the A1 so we apologise for any inconvenience caused."
