A woman who was killed in a crash in Staffordshire has "left a space that can never be filled", her family have said.

Sian Sanghera, 33, died when a grey Audi crashed on Barton Gate in Barton-under-Needwood at about 22:45 GMT on Saturday.

A 32-year-old man, who remains in hospital with serious injuries, was held on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but has since been de-arrested, Staffordshire Police said.

In a tribute to Sanghera, her family said she was a "loving young mother, a devoted daughter and an incredible sister".

"She meant everything to our family and her loss has left a space that can never be filled," they said.

"She was kind, caring and always put others before herself, especially her young daughter, who was her whole world.

"Anyone who knew Sian knew how deeply she loved and how fiercely she cared for the people around her."

A police spokesperson said officers were continuing to investigate the crash and urged anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to get in touch.
