Motorcyclist with serious leg injuries after crash

Officers are appealing for information after a motorcycle rider was left with serious leg injuries from a crash which resulted in the closure of a main road.

The incident happened on the A53 Leek Road in Endon, near its junction with Dunwood Lane, shortly before 13:00 BST on Monday, according to Staffordshire Police.

They said it involved a black Triumph motorbike, and that no other vehicles were thought to have been involved.

The rider was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.

Police said they were keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw the motorbike beforehand.
