Man's house death no longer treated as murder
BBCNo further action will be taken against a man who was arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was found in a house.
Emergency services found a 48-year-old man dead in a house on Higginshaw Lane in Royton, Oldham, on Sunday and a man, 49, was subsequently detained.
A post-mortem examination has since found there was no third party involvement or suspicious circumstances relating to the man's death, Greater Manchester Police said.
The force said the cordon on Higginshaw Lane had now been removed. An inquest will be held at a later date.
Det Insp Rachel Smith said: "Our thoughts remain with the loved ones of the man that died at this incredibly difficult time.
"We recognise the concern this incident may have caused within the local community, and we want to reassure residents that following a thorough investigation, we have found no evidence of third party involvement or suspicious circumstances.
"We hope this provides clarity and reassurance, and I would like to thank the community for their patience and co-operation throughout our enquiries."
