Multi-vehicle crash and fire closes part of M1

The M1 has been closed southbound following a multi-vehicle crash and vehicle fire.

National Highways said the road was shut at about 11:20 GMT between junction 15 for Northampton and Roade and junction 14 for Milton Keynes.

Emergency services and traffic officers were at the scene.

National Highways warned motorists that traffic was building up on the approach to the incident.
