Girl, 3, badly hurt in e-bike crash leaves hospital

A three-year-old girl who was seriously injured after being hit by an e-bike has recovered well enough to be allowed home from hospital.

Lancashire Police said the girl had been discharged after being treated for her injuries following the crash on Ormerod Road in Burnley, near the Pavilion, on 20 March.

A 15-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving has now been released under investigation.

Another 15-year-old boy, from Burnley, has been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

Officers said they had recovered a Sur-Ron bike.

They appealed for anyone with information about the incident, which happened at about 13:30 GMT, to get in touch.
