Road linking two towns reopens after leak repairs

A major road connecting two market towns has reopened after repairs to a damaged water main were completed.

The A646 between Hebden Bridge and Todmorden was shut for 10 days while Yorkshire Water carried out the work and reopened on Friday evening.

The latest closure came just over a year after a emergency sewer repairs saw it shut for seven weeks.

A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: "Thank you to all our customers for bearing with us while we carried out this essential work."
