Several schools close as Arctic blast continues
BBCSix schools in Lancashire are closed due to snow and ice.
The affected schools are in the east of the county, including Accrington and the Ribble Valley.
On Monday several schools, tips and libraries had to be closed due to the snow and treacherous icy conditions.
The Met Office has issued a new yellow severe weather warning for ice overnight and until 10:00 GMT on Wednesday.

Hundreds of schools across the UK have shut as overnight the UK's saw its coldest night of winter so far, with temperatures dropping to -12.5C in Norfolk.
The Lancashire schools closed due to the icy weather conditions are:
- St Leonards Primary in Balderstone
- Mount Carmel High School in Accrington
- St Johns Stonefold, Haslingden
- Hyndburn Park Primary, Accrington
- St Veronica's Primary, Helmshore
- Salesbury Church of England Primary, Ribble Valley
- St Joseph's Primary – Hurst Green, Ribble Valley
It is not yet known whether they will reopen on Wednesday.
